Come to the Catalan Pyrenees and tickle your taste buds with the authentic taste of Catalan products!

  • The Park brand

This aims to recognise producers whose working activities respect the environment, and helps you to contribute through your purchases to supporting local economic activity that benefits our remarkable and fragile region.

As defenders of the 3 values of the Regional Natural Parks (…) those farmers entitled to sell their products under this brand are committed to precise specifications.

  • Mountain potato

Very widespread in Capcir and Cerdagne, in recent years potato-growing has become a real source of diversification for producers on the high plains.

Using no pesticides or chemicals, potato cultivation by producers holding the Park brand involves environmentally-friendly production on a human scale and autumn harvesting and sorting by hand or semi-manually.

    Apples and pears

Historically an activity which ran alongside the iron mines of the Têt valley and its tributaries, apple growing is still alive and well in the Conflent area.

You will be able to try the symbolic Coquette and Reinette du Canada varieties, as well as the Golden apple, which quickly joined them and has since become a traditional apple for the locals.

Today, producers holding the Park brand are committed to reinstating older varieties and taking part in ecological pest control against the codling moth, which ravages apple trees.

    Locally reared, summer grazed meat

In the Catalan Pyrenees, livestock farming is the first sector of upkeep and management of the mountain and rural landscapes that make it a popular destination. The seasonal migration of livestock is the symbol of extensive traditional livestock farming that includes cattle, sheep, goats and even horses.

By purchasing these products, which symbolise an agriculture where humans and animals are closely linked, such as the Rosée des Pyrénées, veal which is raised solely on its mother’s milk and summer mountain grass, you are contributing to the preservation of a pastoral activity which is crucial to maintaining biodiversity and landscapes, as well as supporting a major rural economic activity.
