Refuges

The Refuge de Mariailles has 53 places available in its dormitories. Open all year round (booking required) the refuge is equally suitable for groups as for individuals. The refuge managers, Olivier and Jean Jacques, are at your disposal to help you to organise your stay in the Canigou in the best and safest way possible.

On the GR 10 track, this refuge, managed by the Club Alpin Français (French Alpine Club), is open to all and all will appreciate its friendly atmosphere. There are 56 places in dormitories for 4 to 10 people or in double rooms. The refuge’s capacity outside of manned periods is reduced to 15 places.
Midday and evening meals are available serving traditional, local and family fare.

Jean Brice and Viviane offer you a warm welcome in their refuge, which has 19 places and the possibility of half-board lodging.

You can walk or ski to the refuge in both summer and winter (open by appointment). You can stay here from €9 per night + €0.15 tourist tax (for guests over 15 years of age).

The use of an unmanned refuge next door is also possible.

Located on the GR 10 track, in the village of Fontpédrouse, this refuge is open all year round and is manned in the summer. There are 30 places on mattresses placed on low frames.

Meals – breakfast and half-board – are available during manned periods.

In the summer, demand can exceed the refuge’s capacity. We recommend that you arrive by mid-afternoon at the latest or bring your own tent.
